Recycled Art Contest Begins Friday in Manassas
Sponsored by the city and American Disposal Services, the contest offers a $1,000 first-place prize Nov. 15 on "America Recycles Day."

MANASSAS, VA — Inasmuch that many artists with a funky flair see junk not as junk but as a potential centerpiece for an artistic creation, the city and American Disposal Services are teaming up for a recycled art competition.
Submissions will be accepted beginning Friday and running through Sept. 13.
It's an homage to "America Recycles Day," Nov. 5, when the first-place winner receives $1,000.
