Richmond Teen Threatened To Bomb Manassas Schools: Police
A 15-year-old from Richmond has been arrested and charged in connection with bomb threats at a pair of Manassas area schools last month.
MANASSAS, VA — The teen who made a pair of bomb threats at a pair of Manassas area high schools last month has been arrested, the Manassas City Police Department said.
The police department identified the suspect as a 15-year-old boy from Richmond. He was taken into custody by the Richmond Police Department, though his case will be heard in Prince William County.
The boy is charged with two counts of felony threats to bomb. His court date is pending.

On Jan. 26, the teen called Osbourn High School and threatened to bomb the building from the outside, authorities said. The school was placed into a secure the building status, and the police department helped dismiss students.
The police department had an explosive detection K-9 search the area, but they deemed that the threat was not credible.

Unity Reed High School in Prince William County received a similar threat on the same day, the police department reported. The same phone number was used to call both schools. Authorities said the suspect was a former Unity Reed student.
The teenager was taken into custody on Wednesday.
