Robbery Suspect Tracked Down at Maryland Motel

Manassas man charged with May 2 heist at gas station, say Prince William County police.

A Manassas mhe an accused of robbing a local gas station was arrested Wednesday in Maryland, and will be extradited to Virginia, according to the Prince William County police.

U.S. marshals tracked down James Carrico, 29, at a Motel 6 in Camp Springs, Md., and arrested him without incident, the Prince William police said. Carrico, of the 8700 block of Signal Hill Road, is charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The charges stem from a robbery on the evening of May 2 at the BP station at 7111 Sudley Road in Manassas. Carrico allegedly walked into the station, displayed a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes.

The suspect left before police arrived, and no injuries were reported.
