Shooting, Beating Blamed On Drug Deal Ambushes In Manassas: Police
A man is being held without bond for his role in two armed robberies during would-be drug deals Saturday night in Manassas: PWC Police.

MANASSAS, VA — A man is being held without bond for two armed robberies during would-be drug deals Saturday night in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police. Devin Tyler Kitts, 18, of the 7400 block of Princess Carol Court in Manassas, is charged with 1 count of shooting into an occupied dwelling, 2 counts of robbery, 1 count of malicious wounding, 2 counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
In the first incident, police responded to a hospital around 9:45 p.m. to investigate a robbery earlier that night in the 8600 block of Parkland Street. The victim, 17, said he made arrangements to make a drug deal with an acquaintance around 7 p.m. in the aforementioned area. But Kitts allegedly flashed a gun and then bashed the victim in the head several times, knocking him out. Kitts and two unknown men then stole his cell phone, cash and fled. In the second incident, police arrived at the 8600 block of Centerton Lane for a reported shooting. They found that the victim, 18, made arrangements to have Kitts meet him at his residence for a drug deal. Again, Kitts flashed a gun and stole the drugs, a wallet and cash. While fleeing, he turned around and fired a shot toward the residence that hit an adjacent dwelling. No injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, Kitts was found and arrested without incident at his residence in the wee hours of Sunday morning. A search of his home turned up the gun.
