Shoplifter Caught, Then Escapes in Manassas: Police
After being confronted in the parking lot, according to Manassas City Police, he relinquished the Amazon Echo and then promptly fled.

MANASSAS, VA — A man was caught trying to steal an Amazon Echo last Sunday from the Home Depot at 8805 Liberia Avenue, according to Manassas City Police.
But then, suddenly, he wasn't caught.
An employee told police the man was confronted by a security guard outside the store.

The guard retrieved the ill-gotten booty but the suspect promptly took off, after which police were called.
He's described as white and in his late 20s, 5-10 with brown hair and a thin build.

Hit and Run
On March 12, 2017, Manassas City Police responded to the 9200 block of Taney Rd in reference to a hit and run. Officers spoke with the victim who stated sometime between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and midnight on March 11, 2017, his vehicle was struck. Damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated to be $600.
