Gunshots Strike Parked Vehicles, Apartments After Fight In Manassas Parking Lot: Police
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating a fight in a parking lot that resulted in gunshots striking apartments and vehicles.
MANASSAS, VA — A fight in a Manassas parking lot led to gunshots on Tuesday night, according to the Manassas City Police Department. No injuries were reported, though the rounds did strike two apartments and a pair of parked vehicles.
Police responded to the scene in the 10300 block of Seventh Regiment Drive around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The original report described a group fighting in the parking lot, police said.
As officers responded, several callers reported hearing gunshots. The people involved in the fight ran away as officers arrived on the scene, according to the police report.

Officers said that they did not find any victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Through their investigation, officers determined that gunshots struck two parked vehicles and a pair of apartment.
A witness told police that one of the people shooting was a dark-skinned male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The police department did not specify whether multiple people fired guns.
