Small Plane Crash Near Manassas Airport Sunday
Pilot transported to hospital with serious injuries, according to report.
A small plane crashed behind a neighborhood near Manassas Regional Airport Sunday morning.
The pilot, identified as Karyta Barnes, 50, of Alexandria, had been reportedly practicing approaches at the airport, according to WTOP.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported Barnes was the only person on board when the Piper PA-28 went down in a wooded area near the 9600 block of Looking Glass Court, according to WJLA.

Barnes was admitted to Fairfax Inova Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, according to WUSA9.
