MANASSAS, VA — Northern Virginia's first Sonic Drive-In restaurant will open in Manassas on Wednesday, Sept. 18, according to a report in Inside NoVA. Prince William County planning officials said Sonic renovated a former Burger King at 10850 Promenade Lane.

Because it's taking over an existing building the Manassas Sonic will be different than the typical drive-in. Most of the seating will be inside the restaurant, with only a few drive-in spots in the parking lot.

Sonic Drive-In, based in Oklahoma, bills itself as the nation's largest drive-in restaurant chain with more than 3,500 locations in 45 states.
