MANASSAS, VA — A student brought an unloaded gun to Unity Reed High School in Manassas on Friday, the Prince William County Police Department said. Police officers have detained the student and confiscated the firearm.

No injuries were reported at the school, and the school has returned to normal operations.

Authorities have not identified the student by name, age, or gender.
