Students in Gainesville Donate $2,000 to Blood Cancer Patients

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Gainesville donated more than $2,000 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Gainesville recently collected more than $2,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). For the past three weeks, students collected change and online donations from friends and family to raise money for the organization. The money donated will help LLS fund lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provide patients with support services and financial assistance. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in need.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
