Suspect Wanted in Fatal Shooting in Bristow

Police searching for the suspect, Edward Hale Jr., according to Prince William County Police.

Prince William County Police is searching for the suspect in a fatal shooting in the Bristow area early Sunday morning.

The victim has been identified as Jessica Leigh Wilson, 31, of Bristow.

Police say Edward Everett Hale Jr., 35, of the 100 block of Heather Stone Way in Glen Burnie, Md., is wanted for murder in the case.

He is described as a black male, 5’10”, 190lbs with brown eyes, bald and a goatee. Officers describe has vehicle as a 2009 gray, 2-door Honda Accord coupe with Maryland plates: 8EZL42.

Officers responded at 6:25 a.m. Sunday to the 12700 block of Lednock Way, Bristow, regarding a shooting, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

“The investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated,” Perok said in a statement. “During the encounter the suspect shot the victim before fleeing the area in a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.”

Police say the incident was a domestic incident. The suspect is no longer believed to be in the Bristow area.
