Tabletop Game Tavern Coming To Downtown Manassas

A new tavern featuring tabletop games is coming to downtown Manassas this summer.

MANASSAS, VA—Those of a certain age might remember when electronic tabletop games made quite the splash when introduced to bars and restaurants in the 70s. But that's the thing. Namely, that the games were electronic. That was part of the novelty.

Well, a new tavern/bar/restaurant—however you choose to classify it—is scheduled to open sometime this summer in downtown, and it's something of a throwback. We're talking tabletop games sans the electronics. Say hello to The Crossroads: A Tabletop Tavern, now under construction at 9412 Main Street.

The owner, John Hornberger, has plans for more than 1,000 tabletop games available inside the revamped space that used to be home to Mackey's American Pub. Among the offerings: Monopoly, Clue, Cards Against Humanity, Taboo, Dungeons and Dragons and Catan.
