Taxi Driver Assaulted, Robbed in Manassas: Police

The 60-year-old driver was whacked in the head after taking two men to their destination, according to Prince William County Police.

MANASSAS, VA — A taxi driver was whacked in the head with a handgun and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money by two men Wednesday night in the 8200 block of Sudley Road, according to Prince William County Police.

The taxi driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

One suspect is described as a black male, 6-0 to 6-3, 160 pounds with a medium build and a full beard.

The other suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 5-5, with a think build and a full beard.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police responded to the scene, where the 60-year-old victim said he picked up two unknown men in Alexandria and took them to Sudley Road. During the trip, the taxi driver said one of the men flashed a gun, demanded money and later hit him in the head before the two fled on foot.
