Teenager Faces Child Pornography Charges

An investigation by a law enforcement task force resulted in the arrest Thursday of a 17-year-old male juvenile from Manassas on child pornography charges.

The suspect, who was identified through the investigation and interviews, was charged with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography, according to the Manassas City Police Department. The teenager has a court date pending in the Prince William Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.

With the arrest, Manassas police investigators, in conjunction with the Northern Virginia-Washington, D.C., Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, concluded a several-month-long investigation of the exploitation of children over the Internet, the Manassas police said.

After a search warrant was served Thursday, numerous items were removed from a residence in the 9300 block of Witch Hazel Way, the police said.
