Teens Charged In Armed Burglary Of Gainesville Apartment
Two teenagers were charged in connection with an armed home invasion last Thursday at an apartment complex in Gainesville, police said.
GAINESVILLE, VA — Two Gainesville teenagers were charged in connection with an armed home invasion last Thursday at The Residences at Somerhill Farms Apartments, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
On Tuesday, police said they are looking for two other teenagers who participated in the home invasion.
At around 5:20 p.m. last Thursday, police officers went to the apartments in the 7300 block of Yountville Drive in Gainesville to investigate a home invasion.

Police learned that four male juveniles had entered the apartment and aimed a gun at the apartment’s residents. After a brief argument, the suspects stole items from a bedroom and then fled the apartment.
Last Friday, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit received information identifying one of the suspects as a 16-year-old male juvenile, who was taken into custody later that evening.

While investigating, detectives identified and obtained a detention order for a second suspect, identified as a 15-year-old male juvenile, who was found and taken into custody by members of the Manassas Park Police on Saturday.
The case remains open as detectives seek to identify the other juvenile suspects.
The 16-year-old was charged with burglary while armed, possession of a firearm by a juvenile, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being held at the county’s juvenile detention center.

Both teenagers are from Gainesville.
