Three Monkeys Pub And Chophouse To Permanently Shut Down In Downtown Manassas In May
The Three Monkey Pub and Chophouse will permanently close in May, the owners announced on Facebook this week.

MANASSAS, VA — The Three Monkeys Pub and Chophouse is shutting down in historic downtown Manassas, the owners announced on Facebook. May 21 will be the facility's final operating day.
In a Facebook post, the owners cited concerns about the economy and their own levels of stress as the driving forces of the closure.
The restaurant has been open for about five years and is well-known in the area for its live music, special events, and trivia nights.

"A LOT of thought, stress and tears have gone in to making this decision," the owners wrote on Facebook this week. "With the economy in the state it is in and the stress that has entailed we have decided that it is time to leave the industry with our heads held high."
In the post, the owners said their health has been seriously impacted by the stress associated with running the pub.

"Please know how much we cherish our employees! We ask all of the local owners to allow our employees to finish out our remaining time before trying to hire them," the pub owners wrote. "On that note we do plan to actively help our employees find something new and exciting to look forward to!"
In the comments, long-time patrons shared well wishes for their beloved pubs.
"We can’t thank you enough for the amazing memories and we are excited to make plenty more with you over the next month," the owners said. "We ask that you focus on the positives of the past 5 years with us and help us to bring things to a close with a sense of community!"
