Tortino Mare To Permanently Shut Down In Manassas Park On Sunday
Tortino Mare in Manassas Park will permanently close on Sunday. The owners plan to open a new Mexican restaurant at the facility.
MANASSAS PARK, VA — Tortino Mare, an Italian restaurant in Manassas Park, will permanently close on Sunday. The restaurant's owner announced the closure on Facebook on Thursday.
The owners noted that they would be replacing Tortino Mare with a new Mexican restaurant in the same facility. They did not offer any information about when the new restaurant could open.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we are closing our doors here at Tortino Mare," the owners wrote on Facebook. "From day one, it has been our mission to share our passion for good food and good company, bringing our talent and personality to create something wonderful in our community. Our time together has been nothing less than amazing."

The restaurant apologized for the short notice about its closure, but noted that there would never be an easy time to say goodbye.
"We welcome your business right up to the last day, as bittersweet as it may be," the owners wrote on Facebook.

In the comment section, dozens of patrons shared memories about the restaurant and shared well wishes.
"Loved every meal I had there," Aimee Ortiz wrote. "New chapters are exciting and full of hope!"
More information about the new Mexican restaurant at the current Tortino Mare facility will be posted in the coming weeks and months, the owners said.
