Tour of Prince William Will Bring Bicycle Riders to Farm Country

Participants can register online through July 31 for third annual event.

If you’d like to try a different way to see the countryside, the third annual Tour of Prince William will send bicycle riders through the county’s Rural Crescent and neighboring Fauquier County.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 2, and online registration is open through Friday, July 31. The registration is $40 if you sign up by Wednesday, $45 by July 31 and $55 in person on the day of the event.

The Tour of Prince William is organized by the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition. The ride will begin and end at Nokesville Park, at 12560 Aden Road near Brentsville District High School.

It will include routes totaling 25 miles, 45 miles and 67 miles that will wind through western Prince William County and parts of Fauquier County, including the hamlet of The Plains. Riders on the longer routes will see Brentsville and Nokesville, in Prince William’s Rural Crescent.
