Traffic Enforcement In Old Town Manassas Yields 23 Citations

MANASSAS, VA — Enforcement of traffic violations in Old Town Manassas led to City of Manassas Police issuing 23 violations Monday.

The Operation Old Town Slow Down stemmed from pedestrian complaints about traffic violations in the city's downtown. The 23 citations found on Monday included one wanted suspect arrest, five speeding violations, one holding phone while driving, one stop sign violation, one improper exhaust, one no valid driver's license, four window tints, four vehicle registration violations, two no valid inspections, two equipment violations, one license violation, and one seatbelt violation. There were no pedestrian crossing violations observed.

Manassas Police said they would continue targeted traffic enforcement efforts around the city in addition to regular patrols.
