How To Get Rid Of Christmas Tree In Manassas Area
Take your used-up Christmas tree to the NOVEC technical center in Gainesville Dec. 26-Jan. 8 to have it recycled and turned into mulch.

GAINESVILLE, VA — Among the many signs that the holiday season finally has run its course is the somewhat sad spectacle of spent Christmas trees, stripped of their lights and tinsel, lying outside by the curb for several days until being picked up and hauled away to points unknown. Well, here's a way to spare yourself having to look at the daily reminder that the fun's done.
Take that tree to the Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative's technical center, 5399 Wellington Branch Road, and watch it be turned into mulch or wood chips. Such recycling will be available Dec. 36-Jan. 8. Simply pull into NOVEC's parking area out front and leave the tree in the area designated by orange safety cones.
