Triune Entertainment Presents "Tick, Tick.. Boom!" in new BackLot Theater!

Triune Entertainment presents Tick, Tick.. Boom! from June 19 - 28 in the all new BackLot Theatre in downtown Warrenton.

This autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning composer of RENT, is the story of a composer and the sacrifices that he made to achieve his big break in theatre. Tick, Tick... Boom! takes you on the playwright/composer's journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster. This production is directed by Ryan Balint and features local band Uncle Drew and the Scoundrels. Tick, Tick… Boom! is presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

Jake Flemming leads the cast as Jon, a character based on Jonathan Larson himself. Flemming is a Virginian Performing Artist making his Triune Debut. He studied Music and Theatre at Longwood University. His credits include Aaron in First Date, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Hans in Disney’s Frozen, and Brown in Tom Stoppard’s A Separate Peace. In addition to acting, Jake is a published songwriter who’s played on Fox 5 DC. His Album “What the Legend Says” is out now on all platforms.

Joining Flemming is Marty Kelly as Michael and Abby Rozmajzl as Susan. Kelly graduated from the University of Steubenville as a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and works in a variety of roles throughout the local theatre scene including scenic designer, lighting design, and as a performer. He previously appeared in Triune’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Rozmajzl is making her Triune debut, but is no stranger to the Northern Virginia Theatre scene. Audiences may recognize her from her BroadwayWorld Award winning performance of Princess Fiona in Upper Room Theatre Ministry’s production of Shrek the Musical.

The talented cast also features additional roles played by Lianne Aarons, Joseph Allen, Lucia Mattson, Noah Sariñana, Elizabeth Steimel, and Lily VanBrocklin.
