Two 7-Elevens Robbed Within Four Hours In Manassas: Police
Police in the City of Manassas are investigating a pair of robberies at 7-Elevens on Sunday and Monday. One suspect is in custody.
MANASSAS, VA — A pair of 7-Elevens were robbed within 4 hours in the City of Manassas. The robberies occurred on Godwin Drive and Wellington Road on Sunday night and Monday morning. Authorities believe the robberies were related.
No injuries were reported in either of the armed robberies, the Manassas City Police Department said.
Fredy Ivan Salmeron-Velasquez, a 39-year-old man from Manassas, was arrested after the second robbery.

Salmeron-Velasquez is charged with two counts of robbery. He is being held without bond and his court date is pending.
The first robbery occurred around 11:45 p.m. at the 7-Eleven in the 8900 block of Godwin Drive. A witness told police that a young man entered the store, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money, according to the police report. After the robbery, he ran away.

The second robbery occurred around 3 a.m. at the 7-Eleven in the 9200 block of Wellington Road. Again, a man entered the store, implied he had a weapon, demanded money from the register, and ran away, police said.
A responding officer said he found a man who matched the suspect description near at Bonham Circle and Miles Pace. The suspect was discarding his clothing and money, according to the police report.
The officer took the man into custody, and he was later identified as Salmeron-Velasquez.
