Two Manassas Area Restaurants Make Top 50 Best in NOVA

Both restaurants boast using the freshest ingredients and offering a cultural experience, according to Northern Virginia Magazine.

We know there’s some good eats here in Manassas, and now the rest of the region knows it, too.

Northern Virginia Magazine recently released a list of the 50 best restaurants in the area and we’re happy to say two Manassas area restaurants made the list.

Don Lencho, on 9116 Mathis Ave. in Manassas, and Maaza 29, on 14630 Lee Highway in Gainesville, both received the honor.

Don Lencho serves authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant aims to bring its customers a “complete cultural experience” through a “unique combination of authentic Mexican ingredients featured in original appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks,” according to its website. Diners can enjoy Don Lencho’s exceptional food between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m Sunday through Saturday.

Maaza 29 is a modern Ethiopian restaurant. All dishes at Maaza 29 are gluten-free and made with locally sourced meats, fish and vegetables. Maaza 29, which opens at 4 p.m. every day, is open until 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and until 9 p.m. Sundays. The restaurant is not open on Mondays.
