V2 Systems Celebrates 23 Years of Staying In Business

V2 Systems Celebrates 23 Years of Keeping Organizations Current and Compliant.

Manassas Park, VA: V2 Systems, a managed service provider (MSP) with headquarters in Manassas Park, recently celebrated its 23rd year in business. The MSP, which started out as a home-based business in 1995, has made significant strides over the past two plus decades.

V2 Systems was founded by Guy Hinkler in April of 1995 in the basement of his farmhouse in Prince William County. After growing the company fairly quickly, it became necessary to move V2 out of the farmhouse and into commercial space in Manassas. Outgrowing the Manassas office, V2 then moved to Manassas Park.

“I look at where we started and where we are now, and I think, wow. We’ve accomplished a lot,” said Erik Briceño, President and CEO. “We have strong roots. Guy knew what he was doing. He had vision. He worked hard. And we’ve been fortunate to attract highly qualified, talented IT professionals. There’s a reason we call ourselves a sharp, stable IT services firm.”

Some of those accomplishments include V2 becoming an Amazon Web Services Commercial Partner, an Amazon Web Services Public Sector Partner and an Amazon Web Services Authorized Government Reseller. V2 also became a Microsoft Certified Small and Mid-sized Cloud Solution Provider, a status that has enabled them to help organizations of all sizes and sectors succeed in a rapidly changing cyber world.

Briceño said one thing that sets V2 apart is that their systems administrators, network engineers, security consultants and help desk technicians are all local. “When our clients call for help, it’s us answering the phone,” he said. “You won’t get someone across the globe who may not be familiar with your organization’s history or needs. And we respect our clients’ procedures and policies. We understand the importance of documentation and compliance and know how to get our clients aligned with the regs.”

Being a small, local company has also made a difference, said Briceño. “Because of how we’re structured, people who work here feel a strong connection to the company, the clients and the community. I think that’s important.”
