VDOT Transportation Career Day Thursday in Manassas
Engineers, contractors, architects and heavy equipment will be included in the gathering at the Prince William County Fairgrounds.

MANASSAS, VA — Want to get schooled on how to operate on of those giant construction vehicles often seen along highways? Want to learn how to build a bridge? Want to get a scholarship?
Those who answered yes to any of those three questions should head to the Prince William County Fairgrounds (10624 Dumfries Road) Thursday from 9 am.-1 p.m. for the 12 annual Transportation Career Fair.
It's put on by the Virginia Department of Transportation's Northern Virginia District, and some 1,400 high school students are expected to be on hand.

Also on hand will be representatives from engineering firms, contractors from throughout Virginia and many other experts wanting to provide information about a potential career in transportation.
Giveaways, scholarship opportunities and contests with prizes also will be offered.
