Vehicle Drives Off After Fatally Striking Man In Manassas: Police
After striking the pedestrian in Manassas, the vehicle is believed to have fled westbound on Balls Ford Road, according to police.
MANASSAS, VA — A pedestrian died from injuries sustained in a crash in the area of Balls Ford Rd. and Sudley Rd. in Manassas Wednesday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department. After the crash, the striking vehicle is believed to have fled westbound on Balls Ford Rd.
At 5 a.m. Wednesday, investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit of the Prince William County police responded to the area to investigate a pedestrian crash.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of a silver-colored sedan was turning west onto Balls Ford Rd. from Sudley Rd. when the vehicle struck a pedestrian. The person who was struck was not within a crosswalk, according to the police.

The pedestrian, identified as Alberto Anthony Marino, 62, of Bristow, was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
A vehicle is described as a silver-colored sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla, with damage to the passenger side mirror and additional damage on the passenger side
