Virginia Lottery Winner: $100K For Manassas Man

The airplane mechanic was on his lunch break near Dulles Airport when he bought the winning scratch-off ticket. "Pretty cool," he said.

MANASSAS, VA — An airplane mechanic stopped by an Aplus 94 next to Dulles Airport, 44950 Rudder Road, last week on his lunch break.

The Manassas resident bought an "Extreme Green" Virginia Lottery scratch- off ticket.

He scratched. He won. Big time.

Kenneth Bater walked away with $100,000.

"It's pretty cool," he told lottery officials when accepting his prize.

Bater's odds of winning were 1 in 832,320.
