Virginia's 4 p.m. Burn Law Begins Wednesday

Open fires are permitted only from 4 p.m.-midnight if the fire is near woodland, brushland or fields, reminds the PWC Fire Marshal's Office.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Virginia's 4 p.m. burn law goes into effect Wednesday and will remain so until April 30, according to a reminder from the Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office.

Approved burning is permitted only between 4 p.m.-midnight if your fire is in or within 300 feet of woodland, brushland or fields containing dry grass or other flammable materials.

The ban includes campfires.
