Wawa Issues Recall On 4 Products Sold In VA: What To Know

MEDIA, PA — Wawa has recalled several of its beverages due to the possible contamination of an undeclared milk allergen, the company announced Friday.

The products include 16-ounce pint bottles of Wawa-brand iced tea lemon, iced diet tea lemon, diet lemonade and fruit punch. They were sold at various stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

Wawa, headquartered in Media, Pennsylvania, said it initiated the recall after identifying a "temporary equipment issue" that may have put the undeclared allergen in the products.

They have been removed from store shelves, and the equipment issue was fixed, the company says.

No illnesses had been reported as of Friday.
