Woman Abandons Child, Bites Man In Woodbridge: Police

A woman is being held without bond after leaving a 9-month-old girl in a stroller while she chased and then bit a man in Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 19-year-old woman is being held without bond after leaving a 9-month-old girl in a stroller in the middle of the road Sunday while she chased a male acquaintance she later bit in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Circle, according to Prince William County Police. Luz Anabel Fernandez, 19, of Arlington, was charged with felony child neglect and domestic assault and battery.

Around 6:30 p.m., police responded to the mall area for a report of a domestic incident. They found that the woman had been involved in an argument with a 28-year-old Alexandria man. At some point, he went away but she chased him and then bit him. She was arrested when police arrived and the child was released into the custody of another family member.
