Woman Attacked While Taking Out Trash in Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA — A woman taking out her trash Wednesday night was approached from behind, whacked in the head with a blunt object and apparently robbed in the 8400 block of North Point Road, according to Prince William County Police.

The suspect was never seen by the 48-year-old victim.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police arrived at the scene at the behest of an acquaintance of the victim, who told police she was knocked out by the blow.

She was taken to a local hospital, and a police investigation found that property was missing.
