Woman Bit Police Officer During Bristow Traffic Stop: Authorities
An 18-year-old woman was arrested on Monday night in Bristow after she bit a police officer during a traffic stop, authorities said.

BRISTOW, VA — A woman bit a police officer during a traffic stop in Bristow on Monday evening, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The police officer reported minor injuries in the assault, authorities said.
The police department identified the woman as 18-year-old Fatima Khan of Nokesville. She is charged with assault and battery on a police officer, obstruction of justice, and eluding.

Khan's next court date is scheduled for May 9. She is being held on a $1,500 secured bond.
If convicted of all charges, Khan could face up to 6 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Monday night, a police officer saw a speeding car near of Vint Hill Road and Fitzgerald Way in Bristow. The officer tried to stop the speeding driver, who slowed before eventually stopping, according to the police report.
"When the officer made contact with the driver, she refused to follow the officer’s commands and, at one point, grabbed the officer and bit their arm," the police department said in a report.
Khan continued to resist the officer after biting them, authorities said. She eventually got out of her vehicle and the police officer arrested her.
The officer reported minor injuries. The police department did not say whether the officer received treatment on the scene or at a hospital.
