GAINESVILLE, VA—A man who exacerbated a road rage incident by flashing a gun and then following the other driver to her residence was arrested Wednesday in the 14500 block of John Marshall Highway, according to Prince William County Police. Jason Michael Heath, 21, of the 4300 block of Sanders Lane in Haymarket, was charged with one count of brandishing a firearm and three counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
Around 6:30 p.m., police began investigating the reported incident, and found that it began as a road rage incident between the two drivers on James Madison Highway near Sudley Road in Gainesville. At some point, according to the 34-year-old victim, Heath pointed a gun at her.
Not content, he then followed her to her residence in Haymarket, where he was confronted by a male friend of hers. They argued before Heath eventually left, after which the victim contacted police. Heath was spotted and pulled over by police shortly thereafter on John Marshall Highway. Police searched his vehicle and found a concealed handgun, a rifle and a non-folding knife.
