Woman Hospitalized After Stabbing In Manassas: Police

A 60-year-old woman was hospitalized Friday with serious injuries after being repeatedly stabbed by a family member in Manassas: PWC Police.

MANASSAS, VA—A 60-year-old woman was hospitalized Friday with serious injuries after being repeatedly stabbed by a family member at a residence in the 8500 block of Custer Court, according to Prince William County Police. Alexander Bronson Marple, 31, of the same address, was charged with malicious wounding.

Shortly after 12:15 p.m., police arrived at the residence for a reported assault and found that the two people had been involved in an argument that escalated. That's when Marple allegedly got a knife from another room and then stabbed the woman several times. She actually was able to disarm him before fleeing the home and contacting police.

When officers arrived, Marple left the residence and was detained without incident.
