Woman Killed After Riding Atop Vehicle in Haymarket: Police
Prince William County Police say the woman was on an unsecured mattress atop a van. Neither speed nor alcohol are suspected as factors.

HAYMARKET, VA — A woman riding on an unsecured mattress atop a van was killed Friday morning after the mattress fell off the vehicle, according to Prince William County Police.
The passenger was identified as Sidney Zelaya Gonzalez, 20, of Culpepper.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m., police responded to an incident in the area of Bent Grass Drive and Waverly Farm Drive, where the van had been heading north on Waverly. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 2006 Chevrolet Express van was identified as a 41-year-old Culpeper woman.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factor in the incident.
