Woman Killed In Manassas Area Shooting, Suspect Vehicle Sought

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County Police are continuing to investigate the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old woman in the Manassas area last Thursday. A suspect vehicle is being sought.

Police responded to the shooting around 8:23 p.m. on July 18 to the area of Pineview Road and Cregger Lane in Manassas. Officers found an 18-year-old woman in a wooded area with upper body gunshot wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as Ashlin Yamileth Paz, 18, of no fixed address.

No suspects or additional injuries or property damage were identified by police. Detectives are actively investigating what led to the shooting. Police do not believe the shooting was random.

A suspect vehicle involved in the fatal shooting was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting, according to police. The vehicle is described as a 2017 blue Hyundai Elantra sports edition with Virginia license plate TVT-8777. The vehicle may be in the Leesburg and Loudoun County area.
