Woman Shot Victim In Manassas Hotel Room: Police
Authorities said a woman shot a man at a Manassas hotel room on Monday morning. The victim was flown to an area hospital, police said.

MANASSAS, VA — A woman shot a man inside a Manassas hotel room on Monday morning, the Prince William County Police Department said.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was flown to an area hospital after the shooting. Authorities said he is expected to recover.
Investigators identified the suspect as 26-year-old Jasmine Cortes. She is charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Cortes is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. Her court date is pending.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on Monday at the LaQuinta Inn on Nova Way in Manassas. Investigators believe Cortes and the victim were arguing in a hotel room before the shooting. Cortes then grabbed a firearm and shot the victim, authorities said.

The victim left the room, and other hotel guests called 911.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim and provided first aid until an ambulance arrived, according to the police report.
Police officers said they found the suspect outside the hotel and took her into custody without incident.
