Work Begins On Old Centreville Road Bridge in Manassas

The $4 million project will repair, among other things, cracks and other signs of deterioration in its piers and concrete abutments: VDOT.

MANASSAS, VA — Rehabilitation construction work began this week on the Old Centreville Road Bridge over Bull Run that was built in 1968.

The $4 million project will be ongoing until the expected completion time frame of next fall.

Traffic will be affected in both directions, and temporary traffic signals will help the flow.

The bridge, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation, suffers from overall structural instability with cracks and other signs of deterioration in its piers and concrete abutments.
