Police say a school resource officer determined the teacher was highly intoxicated, but students were never in contact or placed in danger. The teacher has been put on administrative leave as the investigation and personnel process continue.
   

• High school teacher in Virginia accused of showing up to work drunk (komonews.com) — A teacher was arrested Thursday morning after arriving at Manassas Park High School while allegedly under the influence of alcohol, according to city police. Officials say the staff member had just arrived, was quickly isolated, and never supervised students. The teacher was charged with drunk in public, placed on administrative leave, and the school division reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for alcohol on campus.
