Police say a school resource officer determined the teacher was highly intoxicated, but students were never in contact or placed in danger. The teacher has been put on administrative leave as the investigation and personnel process continue.

Officials say the staff member had just arrived, was quickly isolated, and never supervised students. The teacher was charged with drunk in public, placed on administrative leave, and the school division reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for alcohol on campus.
