• Live Cockroach Found In McLean-Area Restaurant Inspection (patch.com) — Recent health inspections at Santini's New York Style Deli on Chain Bridge Road in McLean found a live cockroach on the kitchen floor and multiple food-safety violations. Inspectors required fixes ranging from clearing a blocked hand sink to improving temperature monitoring and storage practices. Some issues were corrected immediately, while others will receive follow-up attention from health officials and pest control.
   

• Police identify woman found dead in Great Falls Park (wusa9.com) — Police in McLean have identified the woman found dead Monday in nearby Great Falls Park as 42-year-old Reston resident Carmen Lizet Puch. A runner discovered her with upper-body trauma off Georgetown Pike, and detectives say she had been stabbed as they continue working evidence, examining her Honda Civic, and awaiting autopsy results to confirm cause of death.
