1 Dead After Car Hits Stationary Vehicle On Capital Beltway
A weekend crash on the Capital Beltway involved a car that couldn't avoid hitting a stationary car, according to state police.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A Capital Beltway crash resulted in one death Saturday in the Alexandria area.
The crash happened around 3:08 a.m. Saturday on westbound I-495 west of Route 613/Van Dorn Street. According to Virginia State Police, the crash happened when a westbound 2018 Toyota Camry hit a 2009 Subaru Outback that had been stationary, or unmoving. Police say the Toyota couldn't avoid hitting the stationary car.
The Subaru driver, Moises A. Martinez Carrillo, 26, of Temple Hills, Maryland, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.

The driver of the Toyota, Adoley B. Thedison, 26, of Riverside, New Jersey, and passenger Indeka M. Marshall, 25, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.
There was no immediate word on why the vehicle was stopped. State police continue to investigate the crash.
