FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A high-speed pursuit of a driver from Interstate 95 to Interstate 395 ended in a crash with an uninvolved vehicle Wednesday, injuring the occupants and the suspect driver.

Around 10:29 p.m. Wednesday, a state trooper observed a Honda sedan driver traveling at a high speed on northbound I-95 near the 158-mile marker, which is the Prince William Parkway exit in Prince William County. The state trooper attempted a traffic stop, but a pursuit began when the driver did not stop.

Virginia State Police say the suspect vehicle continued north at speeds above 100 mph. The pursuit continued onto northbound I-395, where it attempted to exit at the 2A Edsall Road exit in Fairfax County near Alexandria. However, the driver did not account for a curve at the exit, causing the vehicle to become airborne and strike another vehicle.
