16 Events In Northern VA That Have Nothing to Do With Valentine’s Day
From a visit to the National Mall, along with celebrations of George Washington, here are non-Valentine's Day events in Northern Virginia.
Talk about Valentine’s Day dominates in February, but for multiple reasons, it’s not everyone’s day of choice. We won’t go into them, but there are other things to do in Northern Virginia at this time of year.
Monday is Presidents Day. It’s a free-admission day at facilities operated by the National Park Service, including a visit to the iconic monuments and memorials at the National Mall. Be sure to check out the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial.
