2018 Alexandria Beautification Awards…We want YOUR input.

Alexandria Beautification Commission seeking nominations from the public for annual awards ceremony.

Each year, the Alexandria Beautification Commission, a volunteer commission that advises the Mayor and City Council on City beautification, holds the “Alexandria Beautification Awards.” The annual beautification awards recognize residential, commercial, and community efforts to contribute to the beautification of neighborhoods and public vistas throughout the City. Awards are handed out in a variety of categories related to landscape design, architectural design, sustainable design and community improvement.

The Commission is currently seeking nominations from the public. Each spring Commission members canvas neighborhoods throughout the City in search of properties with newly upgraded, well-maintained or newly sustainable landscapes. But we need YOUR help, please click the link below and nominate a neighbor, a business, a newly upgraded space or building. We are excited to have your input. Properties will be reviewed and judged by the Commission in early June. Award winners will be notified during the summer and the awards ceremony will take place on October 17th.
