9/11 Ceremonies, Burke Centre Festival​: DC, NoVA Weekend Events

The upcoming weekend will have 9/11 remembrances, Old Town Cocktail Week, Adams Morgan Day, KORUS Festival, a fall fest opening and more.

WASHINGTON, DC — The second weekend of September in Northern Virginia and DC will bring somber 9/11 remembrance ceremonies as well as other events.

Among the 9/11 remembrances for the 21st anniversary are Prince William County 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, Sept. 11 Observance in Leesburg, Arlington Police, Fire, Sheriff and ECC 9/11 Memorial 5K, 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Alexandria and September 11 Remembrance Ceremony in Great Falls.

Other family-friendly events will be held this weekend. Alexandria will host events like Art on the Rocks to kick off Old Town Cocktail Week and Enkutatash Fest, an Ethiopian New Year's celebration. In Fairfax County, check out Burke Centre Festival, Fair Oaks Mall Carnival, KORUS Festival. Other notable events include Adams Morgan Day in DC, Manassas Out of the Darkness Walk, Fall Festival Soft Opening Snead’s Farm in Fredericksburg and Loudoun Pet Expo.
