Adoptable Chocolate Lab Ready For Dog Days Of Summer

ALEXANDRIA, VA—If you're ready to welcome a new member of the family, start your search at the local animal shelter. The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria provides shelter to pets in need and finds new homes for them.

If you're a person that will spend your summers poolside and on the beach, Cantaloupe is the kind of dog for you. This goofy chocolate lab retriever may be seven years old, but he's a young guy at heart when you break out the puppy pool or take him for a swim.

Cantaloupe - Lab retriever, chocolate, neutered male, 7 years old

Cantaloupe has the dignified nature of an older gentlemen with the playful spirit of a puppy! This goofy guy loves to be in the water and absolutely adores playing in puppy pools. He is a water dog at heart and is happiest outside in nature while the sun is shining. Cantaloupe is also quite the smartie pants and knows how to sit on cue (especially for hot dogs!). If you are looking for an outdoorsman to put you in touch with nature, Cantaloupe is ready to go on a swim with you!
