Alexandria Chamber Opens Applications For '40 Under 40' Awards Program
The '40 under 40' program recognizes leaders in the community under 40 years of age and highlights young professional success.
From Alexandria Chamber of Commerce: The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce has opened the application process for its competitive 40 Under 40 awards program. The program, now in its 2nd year, recognizes emerging leaders less than 40 years of age. The goal of the program is to highlight the significant, personal impacts of successful young professionals across a variety of business sectors, who, over the next few years, will have a significant effect on the advancement of our business community. Through this program, the Chamber hopes to provide a mandate to empower these successful young professionals to raise the caliber of Alexandria’s business sector and the quality of life in the community.
According to Joe Haggerty, President & CEO of the Chamber: “We are fortunate in this region to have a substantial pool of outstanding candidates and the Chamber is the natural organization to recognize these individuals and all they do. Their contributions provide Alexandria with a qualitative edge in competitiveness and innovation, ensuring Tomorrow’sAlexandria will be highly diverse and successful.”
The program is open to all individuals who either live, work, or volunteer in the City of Alexandria. Organizational or company membership in the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce is not required in order to submit an application.
