Alexandria Chef Wins Food Network's 'Chopped' With Clever Leftovers: Report
The local chef was previously a contestant on "Hell's Kitchen."
ALEXANDRIA, VA ā Alexandria-based private chef Leigh Orleans won episode 8 of the 64th season of the Food Network show "Chopped," taking home $10,000, according to reports.
The theme of that episodeās three-round battle was "Leftovers Gone Wild!," according to TV Everyday. The Zebra reports that Orleans ultimately won with a dessert of vanilla wafer ice cream with a cola strawberry balsamic gastric with a chopped nut and wafer crumble.

The long-running cooking show is a three-round competition in which four chefs create an appetizer, main course and dessert using surprise ingredients in a very short time. The results are judged by a panel.
Orleans also appeared on season 22 of chef Gordon Ramsey's show "Hell's Kitchen" on the Fox network.
