Alexandria City Public Schools Alert for Thursday

Alexandria City Public Schools has sent out an announcement Wednesday night, due to the weather forecast. The National Weather Service predicts Northern Virginia could see up to 8 inches of snow on Thursday.

Here’s the announcement from ACPS:

All ACPS schools and offices will be closed on Thursday, March 5. All activities in schools or on school grounds are canceled. Emergency personnel, including building engineers, custodians, maintenance shop employees and security staff, must still report. A decision about Friday’s schedule will be made by early Friday morning. Regardless of the decision that may impact Friday’s schedule, Monday, March 9 will still be a professional development day for teachers and students will not report to school.
